Who we are

Starcircle is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in Ireland under company number 441177, with our registered office at 74 South Mall, Cork, T12 F3FD, and our VAT number is IE9657593B. You can reach us at hello@starcircle.com.

What we collect, and why

• When you contact us through a form, we collect your name, work email, company and anything you choose to tell us. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is your consent (the checkbox on the form) together with our legitimate interest in replying to you.
• When you browse the site, we collect analytics data such as the pages you view, approximate location, and your device and browser, through Google Analytics, so we can understand and improve the site. Where consent is required for analytics cookies, we rely on that consent (see our Cookie Policy).
• Automatically, for security and delivery, our hosting and security provider processes technical data such as your IP address and request details to serve pages and protect the site. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, available website.

Who processes your data

We keep our stack small and rely on established providers acting as our processors:

• HubSpot, for storing enquiry and contact details (our CRM and forms).
• Google Analytics, for website usage analytics.
• Cloudflare, for hosting, content delivery and security.

These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

How long we keep it

• Enquiry and contact details: for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any relationship that follows, and a reasonable period afterwards, then we delete or anonymise them.
• Analytics data: retained in line with our Google Analytics settings, currently up to 14 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@starcircle.com and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, the supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed.
